About Us

Bedda Sicilia Tours was officially established in 2019, but has been in the making for decades. The name Bedda Sicilia Tours comes from the Sicilian word for beautiful (Bedda). Sicilia is the Italian word for Sicily, and it’s only natural that these two words go together.

Forget the tourist traps, early morning wake ups and jam packed schedules, we are all about living like a local - that means an authentic experience where you’re getting your hands dirty in the kitchen, watching shows at the local theatre and of course enjoying an afternoon aperitivo.

Our tours are single and couple friendly and we also offer customised tours for groups, based on particular requests or areas of interest. Travelling in groups of no more than 12 - you will enjoy staying in the heart of the town in which you are visiting and live like a local.

About Conny

Conny Barletta is an Australian born first generation Italian. Both her parents migrated from Sicily in the early 1950’s, and continued to live the Sicilian life in Sydney, owning an Italian bakery and deli.

Conny has had a love and passion for Sicily since she can remember. Having visited the island over 30 times, she considers Sicily her second home. Conny recently spent 2 years living in Italy and is constantly drawn to Sicily and its amazing culture and beautiful people. There’s no doubt that Conny knows all there is to know about the local markets through to the local fruits and everything in between.

Conny spends much of her time planning the itineraries for family & friends visiting Sicily - from hotels to restaurants and shopping, and where to find local delicacies. Conny finds enormous satisfaction in hearing about their experiences when they return.
